Applications are now open for the 10th edition of the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, one of the fashion industry’s most closely watched awards dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship. Artisans aged 18 and above working across any craft-based discipline are eligible to apply, with the submission window running through October 15, 2026, and a winner set to be announced in Europe come spring 2027.
Launched in 2016 and rooted in Loewe’s own history as an artisanal workshop, the prize has spent the past decade building a reputation as a genuine platform for craft — one that spans ceramics, textiles, jewelry, bookbinding, lacquer, and paper, among other disciplines. Its core mission hasn’t shifted: honoring traditional techniques while giving space to artisans pushing those same crafts in new directions.
The overall winner will take home €50,000, while two additional entries will receive special mentions worth €5,000 each. Ahead of the jury’s final decision, all shortlisted works will go on public display in Europe in spring 2027.
