This season’s headline addition is “Horizons,” a new section curated by Devrim Bayar, senior curator at the Centre Pompidou in Brussels

The 42nd edition of Art Brussels has opened, bringing together 138 galleries from 27 countries across five thematic sections. The fair continues to run under the support of its lead partner, Delen Private Bank.

The big new addition this year is “Horizons,” a special section curated by Devrim Bayar, senior curator at the Centre Pompidou in Brussels. The project brings together six large-scale works unified by a distinct scenographic approach. Organizers say “Horizons” is designed to deepen the spatial dimension of the fair and reinforce its commitment to supporting ambitious, museum-caliber artistic projects.

How the fair is structured

Prime: the fair’s core section, featuring 83 leading galleries showcasing work by established masters alongside contemporary artists.

Solo: 26 solo presentations offering an in-depth look at individual bodies of work.

Forward, 68: 11 galleries exploring the diversity, experimentation, and groundbreaking movements that have shaped art since 1968 — the year Art Brussels was founded.

Discovery: 38 emerging international artists presented either through solo exhibitions or curated dialogues between two lesser-known artists, offering European collectors a first look at new creative territory.

Art Brussels 2026 runs through Sunday, April 26.
